Quality Control Circle

Quality Control Circle

Why Quality Control Circle (QCC)?

quality control circle is defined as a small group of workers carrying out voluntarily analysis of job related quality problems. QC circles consist of groups of six to ten workers engaged in the same type of work and usually at the same hierarchical level. Such a work group involves active participation of all members aimed at promoting worker self-development, development of skills, teamwork and leadership skills. This type of group is very much focused on problems, meets once a week, often outside working hours (though meetings during working hours are not unusual). Each group has a leader who co-ordinates the team’s efforts and often reports back to management on solutions developed.
